Forgotten Friday - Crazy About You

Hi, and welcome once again to Forgotten Friday where we take a closer look at some of the lovely products from the annual catalogue that have been a bit forgotten about since the launch of the two seasonal catalogues. And today I am showcasing the Crazy About You stamp set.

This was one of the first stamp sets I bought from the annual catalogue as I thought that the mix and match words would be so useful for making cards for all occasions. There are a total of 33 stamps in this set (such a bargain for only £23.00) - most of these are words which can be combined to make countless different sentiments, but there are three other stamps - two flowers and a leaf sprig which make this set even better value. These are the stamps that I've used for my card here.

I have also used the "Hello You" thinlits set for the "thanks". Again a really versatile set.  These words also co-ordinate well with the stamps from the stamp set above.

I hope you have enjoyed today's project.

Milestone Moments 18th birthday card

Hi there again,

One of my favourite sets in the 2017 Spring Summer catalogue is the Milestone Moments stamp set. I have used that set to make this very CAS (clean and simple) card.
Milestone moments from Stampin' Up!

Those of you who have been following me for any length of time will know that my style is always very plain and simple, but I think have excelled myself this time! However, I love it!

Milestone Moments and Large Letter dies - Stampin' Up!

Here is a close up of the stamp set I used - again great value at only £19.00 for 18 stamps. And for once I think I will use every single one of those stamps - as well as the number words there are some great sentiments in a lovely font.
I have had a little business selling my handmade cards online for several years and as part of that have probably sold hundreds of "milestone" cards, but always with the numbers in digit form. Having them in word form is a different take on these.

Once again I am entering the Less is More challenge with this card - this week the brief is "alphabet".

There are some lovely cards in this week's challenge - do pop over and have a look! Will be back soon,

Jill

Forgotten Friday - Balloon Celebration

Hi there,

I'm back with another installment of Forgotten Friday, where I showcase a set from the Annual catalogue which might have become a bit neglected in amongst all the lovely new products that everyone is so excited about. Today I am featuring the Balloon Celebration photopolymer stamp set along with the balloon bouquet punch.

Balloon celebrations from Stampin' Up!
I have to admit, this card is not one of my designs. I made it on a stand at a Craft Fair, run by a group of Stampin Up demonstrators, as a "Make and Take", several months before I took the plunge and signed up as a demo myself. I think this card is a great example of what can be achieved really quickly and easily with only a few simple supplies. The background is a watercolour wash, made by picking up ink from the lid of a stamp pad with an aquapainter.

This stamp set consists of 28 images - several balloons and strings, a bow, some great words/sentiments and some really useful little "filler" stamps (stars etc).  This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set allowing you to combine individual stamps to build the final image you want in the colors you want. The photopolymer stamps are totally transparent for perfect image placement and to create a perfectly stamped image every time.

The punch punches out two sizes of balloons.  As with other Stampin Up punches, this is a high quality, affordable, and easy to use punch, which co-ordinates not only with the Balloon Celebration stamp set, but also with the newer Balloon Adventures set from the Spring Summer catalogue.

Forgotten Friday - A Little Foxy

Hi everyone,

Thanks for popping by again today. One of the great things about Stampin' Up is that, with three new catalogues every year (Annual, Autumn/Winter, Spring/Summer)  there is always something new out to be playing with. However the downside of this is that there are a lot of great products, especially those in the Annual catalogue, which tend to get forgotten about as the year moves on. So in an effort top redress the balance, this is the first in an occasional series of "Forgotten Friday"s in which I'll be showcasing some of my favourite "forgotten" sets.

First up today, is the "A Little Foxy" suite.

Fox builder punch

How cute is that? I love it! This is such a great suite of products and really versatile. A quick search on Pinterest will throw up a whole range of animals you can make with these products - its not just all about foxes!! I have seen skunks, badgers, pandas, cats, racoons, reindeer, teddies.... the list goes on and on.
The suite consists of one of Stampin' Up's fantastic builder punches, a stamp set with 29 (yes, 29!!) stamps, a pad of 6" x 6" patterned paper and some Smoky Slate stitched ribbon.

I just love the combination of colours in those pretty papers - Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Smoky Slate and Whisper White.

Foxy friends and fox builder punch from Stampin' Up!

My card also uses the really useful Scalloped Tag Topper punch. Hope you like it.

Don't forget we are in the middle of the fantastic Sale-a-bration promotion period - spend £45 and choose a free gift. As well as that, if you order online from me (Shop Now button at the top of the page or links below) and enter this month's shopping code, you will receive another free gift next month.

Will be back soon,

Jill
