Stampin' Up! Changing colours with Year of Cheer DSP

Hi there,

Just a quick little post today to show you a card that's very similar to the one I posted on Tuesday.
I have used all the same materials to make this card, just changing the colours. The background navy snowflake paper is exactly the same as the paper I used yesterday, starting off as white. However, using a brayer and a Night of Navy stamp pad I transformed it. It's so easy to do. Pop over to YouTube and see how I did it HERE

Hope you like this project and that it will inspire you to experiment with our lovely foiled papers and different colours.

Pootler's Design Team - Week 4 - Flirty Flowers from Stampin' Up!

Hello again,

Welcome back to the 4th and final week of the Pootler's Design Team for September. I have so enjoyed working with this Flirty Flowers stamp set.

For my last project I have made this cute little set of cards using one of the outline stamps and Fresh Florals papers in Powder Pink, Fresh Fig and Berry Burst.

I made the card blanks with our thicker Whisper White cardstock - they measure 10cm square (or 4 ins). I added a little strip of the Fresh Florals paper and a length of coordinating ribbon. The flower was stamped with Crumb Cake ink and then coloured with inks and a blender pen. I then die cut the image with an oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits and mpounted that on a scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals framelits die cut from co-ordinating cardstock.

Hope you like my project. Don't forget to hop[ around the other designers - there are some amazing projects this week.

Stampin' Up! Merry Mistletoe/ Year of Cheer Christmas card

Hi everyone,

I'm here today to show you another Christmas card made with Stampin' Up! products. I can't believe how early I've started my cards this year - normally I start in late November and am still making them when I begin to write and send them! But with so many gorgeous products available for festive crafting from Stampin' Up! it is hard not to start creating!

My card today uses a set from the Annual catalogue - "Merry Mistletoe" - so many lovely elements in this set which makes it so versatile. I already have at least six ideas of cards to make, each using a different stamp from the set.

For my card I have used that gorgeous reindeer stamp. I stamped it with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss powder. It is so super shiny in real life - this next photo shows that I think.

And I have used a panel of our "Year of Cheer" Speciality Designer paper. This is so pretty - really intricate snowflakes foiled in silver and gold. The gold edge is created with the Year of Cheer Speciality Washi Tape.

The measurements for my card are follows:
Card blank - 21cm x 15cm, (8  1/4 ins x 6 ins) scored along the long edge at 10.5cm (4 1/8 ins) to create a card which is 10.5cm x 15cm (4 1/8 x 6 ins).

Designer paper - 10cm x 14.5cm (3 7/8 ins x 5 3/4 ins)

If you would like to see a tutorial of how I made my card just click HERE or on the image below.

To buy any of the products I have used, just click on the links below - I'd be so happy to add you to my list of customers.

I'll be back soon to show you a different version of this card and how I made it.

Pootler's Design Team - Week 3 - Flirty Flowers from Stampin' Up!

Hello there everyone,

Welcome to the third week of the Pootler's Design Team blog hop for September. I hope you have been inspired so far by all the ideas of how to use our featured stamp set : "Flirty Flowers" - such a versatile set!

We are back this week with more fabulous projects using this lovely set. This week I decided to work with the stamp in the top right hand corner, which is a little outline stamp of single flower with a couple of tiny leaves. This is my design:

I have once again used the Decorative Ribbon Border punch to create the little scalloped borders - pop back to last week's post if you'd like to know how I did that!

I have stamped the flowers with Versamark on brightly coloured cardstock and then heat embossed in white. Then for some "fussy cutting" - I cut out each flower by hand using my paper snips - no dies or punches in sight! I cut off the leaves and contemplated how to add them back using green card but in the end I didn't think they were needed!

I have then cut out the Happy Birthday thinlit die from Basic Black card and carefully cut the two words apart. After sticking down the "Happy", I stamped "BIRTHDAY" in Basic Black, using a little stamp from "Tabs for Everything.

What do you think? Not quite as I imagined it, but I quite like it anyway!

Back with my last "Flirty Flowers" project next week,

Til then,

Jill xx
